Our approach

Facts first, context always

Every story is checked against more than one source before publication. We identify what is verified, what is still unclear, and what remains under review, so readers can judge the reporting for themselves.

When a story develops, we update it in place and note what has changed. If we get something wrong, we publish a clear correction rather than quietly editing the record.

How we work

Every dispatch passes the same checks

01

Sourcing

Reporters identify primary sources and record where each claim comes from before drafting begins.

02

Verification

Editors confirm key facts independently and flag anything that rests on a single account or unconfirmed report.

03

Fact-checking

A second editor reviews names, figures, dates, and quotations against the reporting notes before publication.

04

Updates and corrections

Stories are revised as new details emerge, and every material correction is published openly with the date of change.
